ICARD TOWNSHIP WATER CORPORATION REMAINS IN STAGE 2 OF THE WATER SHORTAGE RESPONSE PLAN

Icard Township Water Corporation remains in the Water Shortage Response Plan Stage 2. The rainfall has not been enough to lift the City of Hickory or the Catawba - Wateree River Basin out of drought conditions. While the rain may appear encouraging, the factors that determine drought state - reservoir levels, inflow rates, and U.S. Drought Monitor conditions - have not improved sufficiently to move the region out of Stage 2.

Stage 2 includes mandatory water use restrictions for all customers. All customers are expected to reduce their water use by 10% in comparison to their previous month's water bill.

Coordinated conservation across the community is essential to protect the region's shared water resources until conditions improve.

Your cooperation now helps safeguard the water supply for all who rely on it.

In summary, the rain has helped, but unfortunately, not enough at this time.

We will remain in Stage 2 Mandatory Conservation until further notice.

Thank you for doing your part!
